How long have you been in the music industry and how did you get started?
As a solo artist, I’ve been in the music industry for 2 1/2 years now. I started doing professional musical theater in NY, mostly touring, eventually I got into television and decided to go after a solo career in the Latin market. Finding music producers and writing my own music, doing my own music videos etc.
What were/are the toughest things you’ve had to deal with along the way?
The toughest things I’ve had to deal with have been the people I’ve had to work with in this industry. Every producer either tricks me into some contract where they end up stealing my money, or they don’t turn my work in on time, or they don’t turn it in at all. They have all been male and their superiority complexes have always shown with bright colors, luckily I know I’m destined for greatness so I never let them convince me that they’re smarter than me.
What project(s) are you currently working on?
Right now I’m working on my third music video and writing the lyrics to an Afro Beat style song, I love to get the people dancing.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be where you are now?
"My advice for aspiring artists....mostly female....your intuition is the strongest thing in the world. Don’t ignore it....EVER."
